LAW & ORDER ENCOMPASSING COMMUNITY SAFETY
Mike Caudill has a demonstrated commitment to duty and service in ensuring the effective administration of justice for the citizens of Goochland County. He is committed to keeping the community safe by working effectively with the Sherrif's office, prosecuting cases fairly, and handing down appropriate sentences in order to keep our citizens safe.
Goochland violent crime is 8.3. (The US average is 22.7)
Goochland property crime is 19.7. (The US average is 35.4)
CHILD & PARENTAL PROTECTION RIGHTS
Mike is very proud of his office in protecting the rights of our most vulnerable and marginalized citizens, children, and domestic violence victims.
One of Mike's first priorities in 2016 was to become a member of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Mike has successfully prosecuted every individual charged in Goochland County with possession of child pornography.
Since Mike became Commonwealth's Attorney, every individual charged with possession of child pornography in Goochland County has been convicted. Mike demands active PRISON sentences for each defendant convicted of possession of child pornography; nor merely jail time, but prison time.
Additionally, Mike believes in parental rights across the board and will defend and protect them in the courtroom.

The constitution is the supreme law of the land and the foundation of our laws. The Second Amendment protects a citizen's right to keep and bear arms, and Mike upholds our Constitutional rights while prosecuting crimes committed with firearms.
